By submitting this maintenance request, the tenant acknowledges and agrees that if the reported maintenance issue is found to have been caused by the tenant’s misuse, negligence, failure to report an issue within a reasonable time, or any action or omission by the tenant, their household members, or visitors, the tenant may be required to pay the reasonable costs incurred in investigating, repairing, or rectifying the issue, in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic). These costs may include, but are not limited to, contractor call-out fees, labour, materials, and associated charges. Where applicable and permitted by law, these costs may be invoiced to the tenant or otherwise recovered.
